Young Driver Fatalities Latest figures on the rising number of fatalities among young drivers should give more than just a pause for thought for those youngsters considering driving drunk! Drink-drive deaths are at their highest since 1992, claiming 590 lives last year (2005). The death rate among young drivers has doubled in the past five years. Cutting
the Drink-Drive Limit The call to reduce the alcohol limit was strongly backed by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. However according to a Government Transport Minister there are no plans to change the limit 'for young drivers or anyone else'. |
