The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) engages with many different groups and sectors of the motoring community. 2006 was the organisation’s 50th anniversary year, and as such the IAM has taken time to re-assess its relationship with it’s membership, and public at large. Please visit the website of the Insititute of Advanced Motorists.
One of the IAM’s key goals is to help its Members and Associates develop the advanced skills that help make driving and riding a more enjoyable and rewarding experience.
There are a number of well recognised specialist UK courses offering advanced driving tuition of the highest calibre. Incorporating the skills of the responsible fleet operator, defensive driver training and sports car motoring for the benefit of high performance car and vehicle drivers.
These popular courses are attended by both men and women drivers, with both groups seeking to gain more confidence behind the wheel, and take pride in their ability to successfully complete an advance test.
Car Insurance Discounts
It is important to also remember that many leading UK insurers will offer a discount to drivers who have attained advance driver status. If you drive a high speed sports car then it is possible to make a considerable saving on your Performance Car Insurance premiums.
